USB Human Interface Device programming - 02/02/2004 03:56
Greetings,
I've just got myself a rather large knob. It's quite spectacular and I find myself giving it a good twist in the small hours.
Anyway, it's a Griffin Powermate and I'm quite impressed, I would like to interface directly to it. The software supplied with it is very good but I need something a little more precise than simple button pressing.
On running dxdiag I can see it shows up under DirectInput. Is there a decent resource for learning about interfacing to HID devices? All the stuff I've seen either requires the Windows DDK, or it costs loads of money for an SDK. I found some code to enumerate HID devices which I made into a nice app. But sadly the information stopped there. Anyone got any good development resources?
