going on my honeymoon! - 24/07/2004 19:26

My wife and I actually got married back in March, but we're finally going on our honeymoon: two weeks driving around Victoria, Vancouver, Seattle, and wherever else we feel like hiking in the neighborhood. Needless to say, I won't be posting much in the next two weeks, but I should have plenty of pictures when it's all over...

Sounds cool. Now all I need is the wife.

Congratulations!

Thanks for checking in with us, but I don't know if right now is convenient for the BBS. A bunch of us were talking it over and we thought perhaps you'd be better off going on your honeymoon on August 14th. I'm sure your wife will understand.

BTW, if you get to Vancouver in a few days, tell my girlfriend to remember to come home on Monday.

Have a great time! Bring cool clothes, though. My dad is actually out there on business right now, and yesterday they had a record high of 96 degrees. Naturally, despite specifically asking for an air-conditioned room, my dad did not get one

It's beautiful out there. Hope your trip goes well!

Dan,

Congrats! You'll have a lot to choose from. The further north you stay, the fewer Winnebagos you'll follow, but if you are hiking, fear not. Even in July, once you get 30 minutes up the trail, the crowds disappear. Lots of nice day hikes in the North Cascades and Olympics.

Don't let me intrude on a honeymoon, but if you want a Seattle cell number to call in case of travel emergency/difficulties or just want some free fish and chips, PM me.

One of those rare 95 degree F days yesterday and today (and to think natives think this is hot!). Hope the weather holds.
