Hardware engineer wanted!

Hardware engineer wanted! - 22/11/2004 10:11

Given that I'm getting all lonely designing hardware here at empeg towers (and/or there's too much work for me to manage!), there's a vacancy for an experienced hardware bod in Cambridge, probably with a BEng or BSc in an EE-related field.

Skills:
- Embedded system design
- Switchmode PSU design
- PCB review & checking
- EMI/ESD aware design
- Board prototyping and bring-up
- Orcad/Protel schematic capture
- ARM experience very useful, as well as power-aware design skills

Travel to Santa Clara and to factories in China/Malaysia is likely a few times a year. Benefits include designing the gadgets your friends lust after

If you're interested, or know someone who would be (and is happy with moving to Cambridge from within the EU), then email me for the full job spec - [email protected]

Please, there's no truth at all in the rumour that the entire team are visiting MacWorld in January to learn about our roadmap for the year...

I did, but they hadn't invented the transistor then: Portable Radios had a 90v and a 1.5v battery!

He hasn't applied for a start, plus it's a position in Cambridge & I'm not sure Patrick could leave his lathe behind (or necessarily find neighbours who are just fine with him running jets in his back garden)

What, you don't have a machine shop at the new empeg towers? For shame.
