Heheh.... Slashdot... news for nerds who aren't nerdy enough to have figured out that the news breaks somewhere else. Or maybe that's just a perennial problem with nerds, anyway?

Generally, looking at the front page of Slashdot makes me wonder if the nerds of the world are incapable of reading the websites of CNN, The Guardian, etc...

I know I know - admittedly I no longer browse Slashdot, but the headline RSS feed comes into my Bloglines aggregator which is how I spotted it.

And I'd been offline for a few days so had missed other news.

(but I willl admit to being a geek )
