Eagerly downloading. Doug "tanstaafl" Burnside is due here in a few minutes and he's a fan of the song, too, so it should be fun for him as well. Thanks for the link.

Yeah, that's pretty amazing on several levels.

1. He had the drum part down cold.

2. He did an incredible job of accurately modeling Neil's kit from the Moving Pictures era.

3. He did a great job with camera angles and depth-of-field tricks.

4. The movements were very naturalistic, right down to the left hand movments on the snare. It wasn't just "stick hits snare and then stops", the movement of the left hand as it followed through, slid backwards, and came back for the next beat was exactly right.

5. Facial animation.

6. The bullet-time shot.

7. Working in the jets and the environment gags *just* right, such as the sound effect during the guitar solo being represented by lightning flashes.

Now I need to do a video of Alex's part.

Yeah, except that he doesn't look near intense enough! He kind of has a "Sunday afternoon stroll" kind of expression, which I've NEVER seen on Peart when he plays.

Yeah, that was my first thought when I saw it! Why does Peart always have to get all the love?
