Greetings!

I bet that subject line got your attention...

I enjoy a number of different styles of music, including folk variations. Especially the really nasty folk variations involving all kinds of dastardly goings-on. Some people refer to these as "Child Ballads" because Francis Child went around cataloging them for historical purposes.

Joe D'Andrea (of Broadside Electric) just sent me this link showing how to learn moral lessons from these songs. So far, a very amusing read if you know the genre.

My favorite line so far: "Supernatural creatures are best avoided. If they can’t be avoided, they should be addressed respectfully. If a supernatural creature sets you a task you’re well and truly screwed."
