Download Radiohead "In Rainbows" before December 10th - 06/12/2007 00:55

I just got an e-mail from the Radiohead shop WASTE. They will stop allowing free or pay-what-you-want download of their album In Rainbows on December 10th.

I strongly recommend you get (and pay something) for this album. It's very emotionally charged, even passionate. As expected, it contains the "typical unique" elements found in recent Radiohead albums. For what it's worth, I feel this is the culmination, the most mature of their avant-garde albums.

Really? I downloaded it, listened to it once, forced myself to listen to it again, and haven't listened to it since. I found it really, just, dull.

I'm not saying you're wrong, obviously, but I've not heard anyone say much of anything about the album at all, which I took as people feeling the same way I do about it. Maybe I just haven't been paying enough attention.

Somehow, I find that allowing myself to be price-gouged at the local CD store forces me to be a little more openminded, thus apt to find something good about my purchse. I'll be waiting for the actual CD release then might give it a try.

Besides, I can't see myself enjoying much of anything at 160 Kbps mp3.

But......... it's free. I think I see your point, though. Once you've bought it, you try to find yours money's worth in there.

You need to be in the right, very odd mood for recent Radiohead.
