Looks like there might be another dupe other than the one you spotted:

Yup, sure is.

Vote for mine, it's the one with the most detail in the bug report. You can vote for the others too! smile

15 flash MP3 players on the same page? Huh why?

So one can have a "play" button for every song listed on the page. Here is my page with 23 songs, but also has a work-around in place where if you are in the bugged situation (115 or 124 on Windows Firefox) then you'll get a download button instead of a flash play button.

And before you start saying, "but why don't you split out albums to their own pages", what if I make an album with 16 songs on it? And have a look here where this artist has a single album on that page with 17 songs, and this page also experiences the exact same bug.

And anyway, whether or not it's a valid use-case to have more than 15 songs on a page, that's not the point. The point is that it worked fine in versions of Flash player up until build 9.0.115.0, and they specifically broke something in 9.0.115.0 and it needs to get fixed.

Yes, there are work-arounds for this problem. I'm currently implementing the work-around that is the most logical for me at this time. The fact that I have worked around it doesn't change the fact that Flash has a bug, it was a recently-introduced bug, it is an obvious regression, it is something that affects other sites besides mine, and something that they would definitely want to fix if we could just make enough noise (i.e., votes on the bug page) so that they could hear about it.

I think your vote pushed it over the edge from status "community" to status "new", thus (I think) officially entering it into their internal bug system. Not *sure* if that's the case, but it looks likely. Thanks!

Aaaaand.... it looks like Beta 10 fixes the issue. I wish I'd known about the existence of a publicly available Beta 10 weeks ago...
