Password safe software for Windows?

Password safe software for Windows? - 22/10/2008 04:39

I'm currently using Password Minder (from here) to manage all of my website passwords. It's quite a good app -- I can take the data file with me on a USB stick, and the password data is protected with a master password. Before protected mode Internet Explorer, it would even type the passwords into web forms without displaying them.

One problem: it doesn't work on Windows x64.

So, does anyone know of anything similar?

Mr Bruce Schneier initiated a project:

http://passwordsafe.sourceforge.net/

And if it's good enough for him...

Keepass is fantastic. I really need to get more proactive about keeping passwords in there.

There's also a portable app version of Keepass.

I use that too, but Keepass can travel with you to any computer (not just your own).

But Foxmarks is just so easy and "set it and forget it" that I just leave the password saving to it. Good suggestion.

You could run FF as a portable app, too. Then your passwords would travel with you, as you pointed out.
