Offline Wikipedia

Does anyone have experience using Wikipedia offline ?

I have having trouble figuring out what to download. I have found Wikitaxi which lets you view the wiki xml files offline but I can't figure out how to get the files. I keep seeing the download should be about 3.5 gig but I can't figure out where to get it.

I found that then I get to http://download.wikimedia.org/enwiki/ click on latest and get http://download.wikimedia.org/enwiki/latest/ now I don't know what to download. Do I need to get each file ?

No, you need this file only:

http://download.wikimedia.org/enwiki/latest/enwiki-latest-pages-articles.xml.bz2

Which is described on the original link I posted as "pages-articles.xml.bz2 - Current revisions only, no talk or user pages. (This is probably the one you want.)"
