At my request, PaulH has added a line to the "new post" screen suggesting that new users read the FAQ before posting (with link).

It's only on new posts, not on replies.

What would be entertaining is to have that change messages based on how long the user has been registered and the number of posts. Tony, yours could be coded to the time of day, like "Stop telling people to read the FAQ at 3am"
