Funny story about Sunnyvale. My parents were both lifers in the Air Force. My mom was a BEE (Bio-Environmental Engineer, the chem cleanup people). When she retired, the only place that offered her the money that her job/education was worth was in Sunnyvale. She decided to rather stay 'retired' and just work part time rather than taking a job in California. Serious respect points were earned on that one

Oops, just read the part about 'don't reply unless you are interested'

What are you saying about California?

...and where did she decide to stay?

My parents ended up staying where they were stationed when they retired - Offutt AFB, Bellevue, NE. Not my choice. They like that tornado alley/midwestern thing. Hell, we were stationed at Minot for 9 years. I never did figure out who they pissed off...

No offense, Bellevue NE is a very nice place (if you like that kind of thing), but it doesn't hold a candle to the Bay area...

Sorry, no flame war intended - you started this!

I left there as soon as I could. I spent exactly 11 months in NE before leaving for school (out of state).

The Bay area is nice, but just too many damn people. I really like where I am at now. Nice weather (except for today), awesome landscape, and anything you could possibly want in a few hours drive max.

Jon,

If the position has not been filled, can you send me a contact phone number? I have a lady friend who fits the bill and meets your above requirements, *and* is looking for a job. I can recommend her with the highest accolades.

The bay area was definately over-crowded when I moved here last year; but it's equalized...
