That'll be another US humour thing then!

I was listening to my empeg, and I went "Weeeeeeeeeeeeee!"

I've seen this one before, I got a laugh then, and then the guys at work proceded to beat the "Weeeeeee!" to death.

Yeah, there's a better version that's full screen somewhere, but it's still funny. I'm suprised you haven't seen that yet Tony, it's been around the net for a while. I guess the board takes up most of your surfing time

What's really terrible is that everyone you show it to will start talking really fast and going "WEEEEEE" all the time. Don't send it to people you know!

I agree with Rob. I'll stick to British humour.

I wouldn't say it's humor, Rob.

Indeed that is a fine example of US humour. I would also cite Futurama and South Park as inspired examples.

In turn, you guys really need to see Coupling and Spaced to discover where British humour is lurking these days.

I broke down and subscribed, but ever since then the nice folks at my maildrop look at me kinda funny. It needs to come in a plain-brown wrapper!

For anyone in the US, Coupling is played on BBC America. I haven't seen it yet, but I will trust Rob's judgement and try and catch it.

And to head off on the more surreal British stuff, try Big Train, Smack The Pony or Chewin' The Fat (which is very Scottish, but seems to have finally taken off south of the wall)
All slightly weird, but ends up leaving me in stitches (and in tears sometimes)

"Some coffee sir? And would you like some dessseeeerrt?" can't be explained, only experienced

I hope these shows are being taken up in other countries - we've got to give something back after grabbing all the Aussie and US sitcoms & soaps.

Oh, and both the original Weeeeee! and the dub remix sit on my empeg just to surprise people when in random mode. Nothing better than Danzig "Mother" followed by Threebrain "Weeeeeeeee!"

Just remembered the Fast Show! Now that should be universally funny.
