I found a load of these tapes in a factory thats getting demolished. What are they? What are they worth? (if anything!)

They are 3M DC 2080 Mini Data Cartridge Tapes, 80Mbytes in "Rhomat format".

I have 10 of these things. Took them incase they're rare or something!

They're just tapes for an old style of backup drive. We've got one of those old drives here still, but we never use it any more. Note the capacity of tapes, and you'll see why they're essentially useless these days. (Hint: These days, useful storage is measured in gigabytes not megabytes.)

Plus, I haven't seen much older technology be very valuable just because it's old and they don't make it anymore You might be able to get a couple pennies for them though!

Too bad the IBM 80-86 that my dad's office had (serial number 76) got stolen...

Yeah - just thought there may be a demand for them if they were for really specialist stuff.

My dads CNC lathe takes a special tape that you can't get ANYWHERE. They go for quite a bit. Never mind though!
