Do I need a Karma?

In don't mean to sound like a traitor, but I don't know whether to get a Karma, or just get an iPOD. I'll probably never use anywhere near all the features of the Karma, and the iPOD is cheaper.

Anyone replaced their ipod with a Karma? Whats your opinion?

I have replaced my ipod gen1 with the Karma. I cannot comment on features in the newer ipods but compared to the gen1 ipod no competition.

I thought they were the same price, when you compared equal hard disk sizes. Why do you say it's cheaper?

Somebody on riovolution.com compared his new Karma to his Ipod. It was a pretty good review IMHO.

Edit: One thing to consider tho, the Karma is still a work in progress and is going to only get better as the software is tweaked. With the Ipod, what you see now is pretty much exactly what you are going to get and no more.

Sorry I'm comparing to the 10gb ipod. Yes the price is indeed the same for equal sized hard disks. Sorry for any confusion.

Is there any news on the proposed UK price of the Karma? Usually its the same price in dollars!

Riocar first, almost 3 years ago, for my truck, but the wife did not want the dash of her BMW modified so she got a Phatbox.

Ok, provided you still own at least 1 Riocar/Empeg - regardless of what else you own, then no-one round here will criticise you.

I guess what Rob was getting at, was if you had sold your Empeg/Riocar and then used the money to buy a Phatbox .... then maybe you should be first up against the wall, when the revolution comes.
