2 Karma's in RMM, USB and Ethernet... - 24/01/2004 14:54

This may be a simple question, but I can't find an answer in the FAQ's or forums here or at Riovolution.

I have 2 Karmas showing in the device pane in RMM, one for Ehternet, the other for USB, fair enough as I have both USB and ethernet connected to the device. I can't tell RMM not to use Ethernet to do the Auto-sync!

This means when I put it in the dock, RMM launches, and starts a sync over the first device (Ethernet) and gives an error message (database lock) for the second sync (USB) I only have one profile loaded for the player but it see's it twice.

Does this make sense ??? I want to use the speed of the USB, but still have Ethernet connected for streaming etc...

Cheers

Cris.

Whoops! My bad.

Unfortunately, the sync profile is keyed by device serial number (look in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Rio\Rio Music Manager\2.0\devices\Rio Karma for the gory details). So if you've got it plugged in twice, it'll do exactly as you describe.

I don't have a workaround that I can suggest, though.

I've posted a link to this thread on the Beta test forum.
