Playlist problem - 16/02/2002 02:46

The only way I can get playlists to work is to save them in my top level MP3 directory.

If I save them in a \playlists\ directory the lists appear on the Rio but display a "no matches" message.

I'm using PlayBolster to generate the .M3U files.

Is this a known issue?

No. It might be down to how the import mechanism is generating the pathnames to the MP3 files. Can you give us a little more information about how your files are organised? Are they on a network share, for example?

Sure, my directory structure is:

mp3/artist/album on my w2k media server (my made up title!)

Now you mentioned network share, I ran PlayBolster from a client machine on my network against a mapped drive on the server which starts in the mp3 directory.

I'll try running playbolster on the server machine directly.

Yeah, it's possible that Playbolster is generating M3U files with the mapped drive in, not the complete URL. This drive letter doesn't exist from the perspective of the Audio Receiver software, so it can't find any of the files mentioned.

Roger, you were right, ran PlayBoyster directly on the server and all is well.
