Genres with large numbers of files only play a,b,c

Genres with large numbers of files only play a,b,c - 05/05/2002 12:13

I have a genre with 4426 - 16.5g songs and it only plays a, b and c songs. This is very annoying. The next largest Genre (1416- 6.3g) has the same problem, but the third (1096 - 3.5g) does not. How small do the genres need to be to make it work, and is it based on size or number of songs?

Thanks,
Greg

Sorry. I forgot to mark the FAQ entry on this subject as "sticky", so it dropped off the list. Click here.

Thanks Tony,

I saw that, but was wondering is the number of tracks/size is known.

The shipped database server only supports 250 items per leaf index node. In your scenario, this means that you can only have 250 tracks for each genre.

The solution? Use a different server.
