Dell Receiver Problem - 23/09/2003 20:22

Does anyone know if there is a difference in the way the Dell Receivers boot up and the way the rebadged sonic blue boot up? I ask because I have the following problem..

I was running dhcp from my linksys router and all my boxes were working fine - but I had no control over the IP addresses and it was a pain with tRio. So, I installed magik DHCP and disabled my linksys DHCP - now the rebadged sonic blues work and the dells don't. Is there some setting I have to set in Magik DHCP or something? Any help appreciated....

Are the new static ip addresses showing up with the receivers in audio manager or the old ones? Do you have "enable autoconfiguration" unchecked under "Tools" -> ""IP configuration"?

Not running audio manager - didn't think i needed to. Definately don't for the sonic blues... they work.

....didn't know it would work without Audio Receiver Manager under windows... trio works fine with the sonicblues, rebadged dells and regular dells all running at the same time....

Are you running Linux?

Nope - running under windows xp - I use rioboot (provides nfs), jreciever and trio - just started with magik dhcp - and that seems to be the problem. If i turn off magik dhcp and turn on my linsys dhcp then everything works - i just don't have control of the ip addresses....
