Unit Manager Creation failed

Unit Manager Creation failed - 24/11/2003 10:53

Anybody had this error message when running the stock ARM software? I installed 3 Rios and ARM on a friend's XP box and get this message when switching between the 2 users.

Any ideas?

I only get this when I try to start arm and it is already running....so, if you have it on the startup menu so it starts automatically upon logon then switch users and startup runs arm again for the other user then I would expect you to get that error since arm is already running on that computer.

Does that make sense?

Jerz,

I think you may well be a Rio god. That makes a lot of sense. I run W2K so have not experienced the multi-user conflict. I will test it and let you know.

MANY thanks!

Jerz.

As expected, you were right. When I initially loaded ARM on the PC, it installed into the "all users" directory. Therefore when switching users without logging out, the new user was trying to load another instance of ARM. I fixed it by removing ARM from AllUsersStartup and put it into only one of the UsersStartup folders.

Many thanks, and another nugget of info to store away.
