One radio station I like to listen to dropped their MP3 stream in favor of Windows Media format. I noticed several others have too, utilizing the Liquid Compass service. I'd like to be able to listen on my Rio (I have 4), running Trio and JReceiver (on Debian, great work, thanks too all who contributed).
Anybody already address this? Any other real-time format conversion stories?
My thought is to look into MPlayer or AVIplay and transcode in real-time using Lame.
