tRio listen mode synchronised playing - 21/12/2004 07:54

I am hoping to get this set up for my 4 Rios, but can anyone who already uses this answer a quick question.

Is the playback REALLY in sync?

If I play FM radio in one room and DAB in the next, the delay is so irritating I've given up on DAB in the house. My concern is whether the Rios will actually all play the same thing at the same time or if there will be slight delays which will cause a horrid echo effect. My music is all VBR encoded and the tRio docs indicate this makes it worse, can anyone coroborate that?

Can I really get my VBR music playing in sync from all the Rios?

I use straight 256 encoding, and I don't hear an echo. Although, my setup doesn't have considerable overlap, as the sound fades a little as I move from room-to-room. But no perceivable echo.

I quite often sync the livingroom and bedroom units to the kitchen one and do not notice any out-of-sync problems. It gets my vote as one of the many top features of tRio.

I often run my Living Room and Kitchen DDARs in sync where it is very easy to hear both at the same time. I have never noticed even the slightest bit of echo between the two.
