something went wrong there i guess......
re-applying the standard player-software-upgrade should fix it.

Went ahead and reflashed the developer software and Hijack kernel and it's fixed.

Trying to figure out what the heck went wrong though. The line 4480 was edited and shows:

72 00 00 00 73 00 00 00 30 30 30 30 30 30 30 00

The change was from string ID 8-14, whereby all are hex value of 30.
Was this not correct?

I believe that the hack was meant for beta 11. The bytes are probably in different locations for beta 13.

I looked for the string that said "Plays: " and adjusted that to hex value of 30 for each of the seven strings. I was using the Line Number just for a frame of reference. I would assume (I know, Ass-U-Me LOL) that the process other than the Line would be the same for Beta 11 or Beta 12/13?

Oops, you should change it to hex-value 00 - not 30.
Still I have no idea why the player freaks out like this...

Maybe you opened the file in notepad or a text-editor and saved it from there - this would definitely screw up the file, even if you didn't change anything.
The edited file's size should be exactly the same as the original file's.
And don't forget to set the player back to read-only after uploading the file - you should really do it step-by-step.
