Hijack ver 3.xx Question Khttpd related - 10/03/2003 16:43

I have a question concerning the khttpd in hijack.

1) What is the max connections for the khttpd server, it says 4 as the default but is that all or can I add more, what are my limitations

2) How can I hid the play, append functions from LAN people who are streaming from my Empeg player via the khttpd server

Thanks for your response and it's a great program and easy to use once you read the FAQ & search this BBS

There's a Hijack section in the Empeg FAQ (see link at top of screen).

Much of this (and more!) should already be in there.

(1) see "max_connections" parameter in the Hijack FAQ. The real limitation is available memory on the player, which can be adjusted (to the detriment of music read-ahead buffering) using a "reserved" keyword (forgot exact name, see the general Empeg FAQ for that parameter).

(2) see "khttpd_commands" parameter in the Hijack FAQ, as well as the section on "securing" your player on a LAN.

(forgot exact name, see the general Empeg FAQ for that parameter).
Actually, the config.ini options are here in the developer info section rather than in the FAQ. The parameter in question is [startup] reservecache=nnn and it's described in detail if you follow that link.
