Spectrum Analyser - 12/07/2000 08:43

Anyone know of a Windows package that will carry out spectrum analysis (audio spectrum, 15Hz - 17 KHz).

Ideally, it will be shareware or relatively low cost, be able to carry out an analysis of a sweep across the audio spectrum sampled from the microphone via a soundcard input.

Linearity/calibration with respect to the microphone is not desperately important, but if the package can output a calibration tone signal at line level for an external amp, this will help.

Don't want much, do I?

Nope, but if there's something you want measured with a real spectrum analyser, let me know.
I'd be interested in a PC / soundcard based one, if only for end-of-line test purposes for stuff - let me know if you get any good leads - this is something I've been wondering about.

Cambridge :) That's how I got my Mk II first - no nasty customs man.

Steve.
(and my spectrum analyser is not what you'd call portable, I'm afraid. Mid 1970's engineering - good and robust, but hardly lightweight.)
