Downloading in JEmplode

Downloading in JEmplode - 28/01/2004 11:54

I'm having trouble using the download feature in JEmplode. In vers. 45 and in 52 on OSX, when I choose a playlist or song to download it generally fails all of the songs with the error "(invalid argument)".

My first guess is that this has something to do with characters in filenames.

Some songs I have been able to download using the filename format {title}{ext}, but if I put fancy things like hyphens or underscores, like {artist}_{title}{ext} they all fail. When it works, it works for the same few songs every time: I have three Garbage albums and when I tell it to download everything under Garbage, I get a nice directory structure but only five songs out of 39 succeed.

I can't figure out what is causing it to fail on the rest of those songs.

The player is running Hijack v361

There were some serious bugs in beta 11. Make sure to upgrade to 2.0 final of both emplode and the player software, and check your config.ini...

Thanks for your help.

I downloaded 2.0 Final (once I found my serial cable!) and installed it. I ran into the same problem when downloading, so I checked my ini file.

I had been having problems with ir_translate a while back, and though I had removed that section from the file I double checked that everything in the file looked right. It wasn't in perfect shape—there were some extra Wendy filters I had stopped using a while back—but nothing really out of the ordinary.

But after using JEmplode to maintain those Wendy filters and resynching, downloading started working. So I'm not sure exactly what I did, but it's working now.

Thanks again.
