Anyway to make the empeg work with hi band remotes

Hi.

Is there anyway to make the empeg work with high band remotes, ie replacing the ir reciever etc...

The ones i like are the sony RM-X6s or the Blaupunkt Rc06 all the other remotes just look abit naff.
