Better terminal program? - 16/03/2005 06:49
Is there a better terminal program than HyperTerminal available? I'm sure there is, but the one that ships with Windows is hopeless.
Any suggestions?

CRT/
SecureCRT are very nice, but not free.

PuTTY is also a very good terminal emulator, but doesn't do serial. A serial backend has been on the wishlist for some time now. Looking at the
serial backend wish again, it seems that someone has implemented a
Windows service that will reproduce serial ports as "telnet" ports. Very cool. I might have to take a look at that.

I love this bit from the TeraTerm page:
Quote:
The author thinks that Tera Term (Pro) is Year-2000 compliant. If any Year-2000 problem appears, it will be fixed. However, as README.TXT stated, there is no warranty for any kind of problem caused by Tera Term (Pro).
