Getting closer..Hard drive question - 16/04/2005 23:48

Ok...after getting the hard drive switched over to master instead of slave and successfully running the car builder software, I can now boot up to a message other than "no hard drive found". However, I have a criptic message that says:

Builder Image
Drive(s) appear to be already built.
Skipping to shell

What does this mean?

The "builder" just gets the drives ready for the player software. The next step is to install "2.00 Developer" of the player software. Download for a Mk2/RioCar here.

Dpolette, please please please please please please follow the instructions in the disk upgrade guide exactly, step by step, to the letter.

If you had been doing that, you would have reached the section where it describes exactly that message, and exactly what to do in that situation.
