Problems with alpha 3.11 / emplode 2.10 - 25/02/2006 10:11

dear all,

i installed a new drive in my empeg mk2, copied all musikfiles from the old disks to the new and everything is fine as far with the version consumer 2.00.

but i'd like to run alpha3.11, so i installed the image, the empeg rebuilt the database and seems to be fine. but i can not connect to the player with emplode v2.10 (which seems to be the latest version of emplode and it's told to use that version with alpha 3.11).
am i doing something wrong here?

and an additional question: if i get it working somehow - can i install a hijack-kernel with alpha v3.11? or does it only run with the consumer 2.00?

We need a little more information. To start off, are you attempting to connect through serial, usb or ethernet?

Yes.

Try using emplode 2.0. The other emplode is only useful if you're loading ogg/flac files.

emplode 2.1 doesn't connect with LAN (i get an error at "checking database - error 0xc0041002) and doesn't even see the empeg via COM-Port (emplode starts to hang when searching for player on com-port)

well i now tried a synch with emplode 2.0 and now it worked (it didn't work before i upgraded from 2.0 to alpha3.11 for the first time).
