Jack Screws for faceplate... - 19/09/2008 23:55

Does anyone know where I can get more jack screws that are the the same size as the ones that to hold the display board. These are the hex head screws that the faceplate and lens gets screwed into... they are a little long then the standard sub d hex screw.

Thanks

Well, we don't know what part of the world you live in.

But here in Ottawa, Canada, the Yellow Pages telephone book has lots of entries under "fasteners". Those are the shops most likely to sell that kind of stuff.

If you want it delivered to your door you can try McMaster-Carr:
www.mcmaster.com

They have (nearly) everything.

Well if some one has a link to a page that has these screws and not just every screw made by man (except these) that would be great thanks....

Go back to the McMaster site an search for "hex standoff".

You want the male-female variety. Should be on Catalog page 3187 or there about. Off-hand I don't know which length you need.

They are one of the most prompt shippers around. I've had parts arrive before the billing was posted.

Am I the only one who sees the thread title on this thread and thinks, "wow, what would Jack do for a whole Empeg?"
