Replacing the tuner kit with just the stalk interface bits?

Hypothetically: I don't use my PCATS tuner except to interface with my (Ford Focus) stalk controls. If there's ever a shortage of tuner modules, and I was persuaded to give mine up for the common good, would anyone be able to build me just the stalk control bits? Or is this something that I don't need to worry about? Is the supply of tuner parts plentiful?

Mmm... I think that any of the "dead" factory tuners out there would still work fine as stalk interfaces.
