Stuck on "pumping partition" with a 500GB disk - 12/01/2013 11:59

Hi,
Everything seemed to be ok - thanks to the great disk upgrade guide - with my 500GB SATA drive (meaning that music was played!), until I noticed the player storage is "only" 128GB.
So I decided to start over, and now I'm stuck on "Pumping partition".
I tried the going over the disk upgrade guide with MLord's v515 hijack, big disk builder v6 together with car2_v3a11_hijack, car2_v2.01_hijack or car2-developer-v3.00-alpha11 images, but I keep getting stuck on the "pumping partition" stage. I also followed the two-stage "Partitioning/Formatting an empeg's Hardisk Manually" guide, which went good until to the point I needed to "install the player's image" (how?).

I realize that 500GB SATA HD + IDE-to-SATA converter means a long shot, buy (a) it did work the first time (only with the 128GB limit) and (b) I did check the drive with and without the converter on my PC (that's how I partitioned/formatted it manually) and the hardware seems to be ok.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Ury

Ok, if anyone still cares, it finally worked for me only when... I disconnected the Remote Desktop session!!!
No - it wasn't a coincidence, and no - I have no idea how RDP is related.
In any case, for now it looks like I have 465GB (I don't care where are the rest) of file storage! Yay!

Nice! Should take you a while to fill that up!

Ok, this sounds bizarre, at least to a non-expert like me :-)

Do you mind to share the sata-pata converter you're using? I would like to go that route too.

This is what I have ordered:

I'm going to be putting a 128GB SSD in my MK2 Empeg. Hope it goes well.
