Off Topic: PERL for Windows 2000 server? - 19/10/2001 10:32

I suddenly have a need to run PERL on one of our Windows 2000 servers, and I know nothing about PERL.

We got a software upgrade to one of our server programs, and suddenly its utilities are written in PERL and one of our developers tells me I need to install it on the server.

So, anyone have any experience in this? Are there different implementations of PERL for windows 2000 server? If so, which one should I use? What's my next step.

Don't know specifically about Win2k server, but I've used Active states version on WinNT Server and Win2k workstation with good results. Haven't used the web integration stuff, but just the basic package for automating some stuff that'd be incredibly tedious to do through a GUI...

Comprehensive Perl Archive Network says that one Win32 port fits all. I usually start searching for Perl-related things there.
