uplodate.exe (empeg logo ed.) params for HiJack. - 12/01/2002 07:09

I'd like to upload the hijack kernel into my mk2 (currently running 2.07b). However, I'm a little paranoid about the address that I should give the windows upload.exe for the starting memory address. Although I've seen a000 and 10000 in several places, it states that this is "for example". Can someone please confirm the address I should use ? Also, what does the khttpd service do ? I've just hacked around with emptool and put a tcp/ip wrapper around it such that I can control it via a web browser (and wap browser!!). Does khttpd provide several play / pause / next /last services ??

Cheers in advance,

Rich.

OK. Just read the new user FAQ (something I should have done a year ago I guess). I now know the addresses for the kernel upload.... But my question still exists about khttpd....!!

khttpd currently just allows you to download files from the empeg file system. Mark intends to add magic POST URLs that will allow you to simulate button presses on the front panel and remote.

kftpd (which is also part of the HiJack kernel) also allows you to upload files, change the mode on files etc

Definitely 10000 works as an address. Do it, you won't be sorry. Hijack is awesome.
