Sled Connectors - 21/01/2002 13:12

Are these custom made or an off the shelf electrical connector?

Thanks.

They're off the shelf, but not all that easy to find/use. The crimping tool is $$$.
Some time ago I posted a link to a PDF that had the articel numbers for the various part (plastic parts, signal pins, power pins etc).

Here's the post

Off the shelf. the wiring looms are custom wiring though. I don't remember the part number, but farnell stocks it (I think) Do a search on this board, and maybe the part number will turn up.

The Mark1 connectors are off the shelf. But the Mark2 connectors are not off the shelf.

The Mark2 connectors are from a company that only does them in large quantities for high-dollar large-volume customers. So if you're just looking to buy a couple Mk2 connectors for your personal projects, you're not going to get very far.
