serial port and in car serial port

Is the serial port on the unit and the serial port available on the dock the *same* serial port or different? Can I hook up two separate devices?

Hi.

It is the same physical device on the empeg, the only difference is that one is DTE, the other is DCE (ie. one acts as if the empeg was a PC, the other as if the empeg was a modem).
