Well, I'm running Emplode 1.03 as well as the 1.03 version of the firmware, I've been able to reproduce the same error 3 times in a row. The FAQ says that should be pretty rare given I'm using a final release and not a beta. According to the chart supplied, the error code: #define ETIMEDOUT 110 /* Connection timed out */

Has anyone had experience with this error before? Any ideas for fixes would be appreciated. FWIW, it appears that the transfers *do* complete, but a) I can't really check yet because I don't have my Empeg installed yet, and b) anytime I get an error it causes concern. Also, does anyone know which e-mail to use contact support? Thanks.

Could you please supply more information, such as what OS you're running and what connection to the player is being used.

Sure thing. I'm running Windows 2000 professional edition and I'm using the USB connection. Other info you might need: 512 MB RAM, 1 Gigahertz Intel CPU, transferring from a Western Digital 80 GB 7200 hard disk.

Hmm. And you installed Emplode -BEFORE- plugging the player in via USB?

If you plug the player in first, it tries to install some kind of Rio driver that isn't the same thing...

Is ethernet an option for you in this case?
