Will there ever be an update?

Is there ever going to be an update to the Rio Central software? I bought this product the moment it was released because it was stated that it would sync with the Empeg.

Man that would be great wouldn't it. I keep waiting for that to happen so I can buy a central.

There is an update in the wings to add device support but that doesn't include the car player. It hasn't been released because QA have found that it breaks Rio Receiver functionality and we haven't tracked that down yet.

This is the unofficial rio central bbs so it's not like this stuff was promised by sonic blue or something but I knew I read statements about support for the car player being added. Sorry I'm not trying to be mean nitpicking every little thing you say. Do you feel like a politician yet

I knew that would happen. It was less effort than searching for those posts myself at least.

If Central downloaded to the car player, how would you expect the tracks to be organised? This feels like a feature that is crying out for soup views on the car player itself.

The soup views on the player would be ideal but I personally would be happy if both devices could be on a network and both could be opened on emplode at the same time then I could copy the tracks from the central to the empeg. Like the feature that used to be in jemplode that let you copy files between two empegs.

Does that make sense ?

That would be *very* cool if I had the ability to do the drag and drop thing between the HSX and the rio car across the network, I don't care if it takes two weeks of continuous connection for the initial transfer because you should only need to transfer the entire collection one time. Everything after that is incremental updates.

I gave up on the riot having the ability to do this so I'm fixin' to sell it to a friend that has been "borrowing" it for a few weeks now.
