HSX-109 v1.10 & Riot Support?

Will the upcoming v1.10 for the HSX-109 support the Rio Riot?

No, only the 900 and S series.

We did put in Riot support but it wasn't stable enough for this release. We're completely rewriting the portable transfer library (the current one was inherited) at which time it will be easier to support hard disk players.

Do you think one day the HSX migh support synchronization with the RIOcar, since it appears that an update to support HD units is in the forseeable future? I'd love to snag one of those off of ebay if I was able to sync to the empeg via USB (even if it did take a week to do).

Just because they're both HD products doesn't mean that it's the same protocol. Hopefully we'll be able to do it, but the car player is discontinued, so it's not going to be a high priority.

Support for currently-available, supported products (like the Riot) is higher priority.

So, one day, synchronisation with the car player might happen. Don't hold your breath.

Where? We'd certainly like to do it, but nowhere (that I'm aware of) have we said we were planning to.

*sigh* ... looks like I'll simply invest in an fm modulator so I can at least listen to the Riot in the Truck....

I never read it in an official way but many posts on the bbs here made it sound like car player support was in the plans.
