Kontron CV-Server Car PC - 17/12/2004 15:01

This month's Dutch C'T magazine featured a short article on this Car PC.

Original Photo

Looks like a nice base for an off-the-shelf solution. Read press article on the new Pentium-M based model or the specs of a previous model

It's a tad expensive, though at EUR 2200.

More than one USB port probably considering there is also a COM2-4 socket.

Oh and holy huge photo batman... resize next time please!

Also, is it a constant velocity server or a curriculum vitae server?

Perhaps continually-variable server?

Sorry Robin, I didn't notice the size because of IE's auto-shrink feature.
It's too late to edit now.

But that obscures that beautiful power/audio connector!

If anyone's interested in this, I just found out that Christoph, who used to work for Rio and designed the hw for the Rio Receiver, is now director of engineering at Kontron. I can always ask if he can get any discounts.... worth a try

I would be interested in buying one or a couple if the price is right
