It's in!!! - 28/06/2001 14:44

Just spent 6 hours finishing my install. Not bad for a girl. The boot of my MGB is now home to a 6-channel McIntosh amp, the fuse is all in, the mids are in, the tweeters are wired up but currently just hovering on the dash until I can break out the Blu-Tak and decided where they sound best.

My next job is to get the crossovers hooked up, which I'm going to get sorted tomorrow - I don't have one, but I'm booked in at Prestige Audio to have my new alarm fitted, so they should be able to sort me out with something and set it up so everythings going to the right place.

I haven't hooked up the subs yet, but all in good time. It sounds pretty f-'in amazing already - even without tweeters in position or any bass or any frequency adjustments. You can turn it up and just keep turning and there's just glorious clear sound. I swear Elvis Costello was sitting on my dashboard on the way home tonight! : D

I swear Elvis Costello was sitting on my dashboard on the way home tonight!

And this is a good thing?

Oh, you mean singing. Yeah, OK, I could see that.

Yikes. Thanks for the advice, but you don't have anything to worry about.
