port XXXX instead of 80 for http requests - 16/07/2002 12:41

Mark,

Is there a way to specify in config.ini (or anywhere else) that the khttpd daemon should answer on port 88 for example instead of port 80.

Thanks in advance for your help

That one's actually in the Hijack FAQ. You specify khttpd_port=XXXX in the [hijack] section of config.ini.

From the Hijack FAQ:

[hijack]
khttpd_port=80

Yes but it seems it's not working. I've tried port 88 and 8888, Checked the syntax twice and synced but it always answering on port 80.
Did someone make it work with hijack 280 ?

Might be a stupid question, but did you actually _reboot_ the whole player (power cycle it)? Synchronizing only restarts the actual player application, not the kernel IIRC.

Your question was not stupid (I might be). I was far from thinking that a reboot was necessary. Tought that the restarting player phase of a sync was enough.
And of course it works. Sorry Lord for having doubted ;-)
And thanks Sven
