Jemplode FAQs - 21/08/2002 15:32

My apologies if this is old news, or if I'm being either stupid or unobservant (both of which happen with frightening regularity - must be advancing age), but both the "Advanced Search FAQ" and the "Variable Replacement FAQ" point to the same URL.

I've just got round to updating my Jemplode version, and I thought I'd have a look and see what was new in the FAQs when I noticed this...

Cheers,
Bry.

Whilst I'm still awake, another question:

I've been playing with the Soup views in jEmplode (let's get the capitalisation correct this time, eh?) for the last half hour or so. Seems like a canny inclusion, but is it possible to create soups to group songs by decade?

And (possibly demonstrating that I really should go to sleep - it's been a long week so far), where's this "Mirror Paste" command that's mentioned in the FAQ?

Love the decent downloading stuff, too, and the animation editor, and the screen grabber, and the...

Erm. The variable replacement part is at the top of the page and the advanced search part is at the bottom...

It's not a FAQ exactly but just some examples for you to look at. It's together because the variable replacement part for naming files and the searching both use the same variable names.

Are you using the latest and greatest release ("jemplode20-supersecret")? If so, mirror paste is gone and replaced by Tools=>Add Soup Playlist ... I highly recommend you NOT use the 41 release and instead either stay with the last official release or grab the preprerelease of 42 (check the programming forum for more info).

And yes, you should be able to create a By Decade soup..

Right, I'm unobservant rather than stupid. That's a relief...

Yes, I am using the "supersecret" release. I'll have another play with it this evening.

Thanks,
Bryan.
