Hijack v302 - 20/01/2003 01:34

Is there a place that we can go to get a better understanding of what the updates to Hijack are all about? I searched for a thread about it, but can't find any info on...

"Added v2rc1 kernel patches; added support for "PrevVisual" button (requires v2rc1); added new "VisualSeek" tool."

What is the v2rc1 kernel? A search on v2rc1 yielded no mention on the BBS...

Is there a layman's guide to this kind of stuff somewhere?

``v2rc1'' is likely to refer to the kernel supplied with the alpha software recently released to the alpha team, which, indications would have it, Mark is on.

``PrevVisual'' probably refers to a way to select the previous visual, which would be something that the 2.0b13 software doesn't provide at all.

``VisualSeek'' is probably fairly self-explanatory, but you'll have to wait and see, I imagine.

Yeah, Mark is on the alpha team. Since so many people use hijack now, that's a good thing - it allows Mark to make any changes to hijack that are necessary for it to run with the new software, before the masses start screaming.
