Building a Mk2 kernel - 08/08/2000 01:12
Hi there. I don't have my Mk2 yet, so I was wondering what I have to do differently to build a Mk2 kernel. My guess would be to swap the USB related lines in .config, and add CONFIG_EMPEG_CS4231=y
Is that all?
Richard.

I suspect there may be a kernel config file in documentation/empeg; Mike definitely used to put copies in there...
For mk2 you need to add ethernet (SMSC tifon support, I think it's under), networking, irda (mk2 kernels are built with irda support), cs4231, errrrr - I think that's it!

See the attached .config file. That's what I've used to build dozens of Mk2 kernels.
