Multiple EXECs still problematic with @delay - 25/02/2004 12:08

Mark, I'm still having a problem with Emphatic and GPSapp execing.

My config.ini looks like this:

[hijack]
;@DC ;@EXEC_ONCE /drive0/var/emphatic/emphatic
;@DC ;@DELAY
;@DC ;@DELAY
;@DC ;@DELAY
;@DC ;@EXEC_ONCE /drive0/var/gpsapp/gpsapp

When I select "emphatic" from the hijack menu, I get a screen that flickers back and forth between the GPSapp screen and the emphatic screen.

The problem went away for a while, and recently has come back. The only changes have been: A recent version of hijack (currently 378), removing my second disk drive, telling Hijack to look for one disk drive only, and adjusting the acoustic setting on the primary disk drive. I'm also using different test versions of emphatic, but Tony doesn't see how anything he's doing can cause this.

I am totally in the dark about how programs bind to the hijack menu and get run. Is there any way to make multiple exec's coexist peacefully without using a launcher program?

I've temporarily worked around this with CanuckInLA's "Launcher" app, which I must say is rather slick. Nice job.

I know, everyone kept telling me that I needed to use Launcher... I'm stubborn.
