Is there any chance there will be a palntir version for pocket pc? Are there currently any means to control the empeg via pocket pc?

Probably not by me, but Oliver Hine was working on a port. The database format is open and the Empire app on the Empeg doesn't care what is talking to it. If you have a wifi enabled PPC and Empeg you can run VNC on it, I think Ezekiel did that with his PPC.

VNC on the pocket pc , could you elaborate on that?

How would you use that to control the empeg?

1. Download EmpegVNC and install it on the Empeg.
2. Download a PPC VNC client (not sure what a good one is for this).
3. Ensure the PPC and the Empeg are on the same network (wired or wireless)
4. Launch the VNC client on the PPC and you can control the Empeg.

Ezekiel did this with his PPC in this post. He attached a picture here that shows you what it does.

Mark,
Thanks for posting those links. I've been away for most of the week.

No problem. Since we are kinda on the topic, here is what I've been working on (on and off):

Oh you tease! You might make me need a new phone. Will it grab a pre-compiled database off of the empeg (meaning you'd only need to create the database on empeg sync, then grab the new database when you first access via BT)? I think I saw some one post about that a while back. Very cool, please do keep us posted.

We'll see! I have to get the basic functionality down first, but I can see if that is possible. Or I could have it install on your next HotSync...
