Is it possible to get the command prompt over IR? I've been trying using my palm for the last several days with no luck.

We haven't written any software support for the IrDA other than a low level driver.

We've had the empeg talking to laptops over IR by just using ttyS2. You might find this works on a PalmPilot too if the IR can be treated as a serial port.
