Heh, I'm in Marietta too. I'm trying to figure just how I'm going to install my empeg in my '96 explorer w/ factory Premium JBL Sound....

Apparently, the factory system has a separate amplifier, but that amplifier only takes speaker level input. There is an adapter out there to plug line level inputs into it, but I can't seem to find them.

Good luck on both of your installs. Are y'all both planning on doing it yourself or going somewhere to have it professionally done?

Perhaps the PAC OEM-1 will work? Check and see if your vehicle is one of the supported ones. It's linked from the FAQ.

Thanks, I found a link to it somewhere on this board (one of your posts maybe?) after looking for something like that for about 5 hours straight

That link to the install from the FAQ may come in useful.

Many thanks again,

after 12 hours of work I got everything installed. Funny part is the empeg took all of maybe 30 min to install the amp and speakers took the other 11 and half hours.

Well with the MB Quart components up front and coxials in the back and a JL W3 sub in the back all is well my friend all is well. My car is a moving symphony.

That's not funny at all, that's the expected situation. New amps and speakers are always a bitch to put in.

I installed min ein my #rd Gen RX-7.. It took all morning ( it was toooo small for 2 headunits.. So it needed some persuasion!)

Its in and even with factory speakers it sounds UNBELIEVABLE

Glad to hear it.
Should have mine installed by next week. I hope I have as good of results as both of you.
